Wolf of the Month-February

Porscha Jacobs - Wolf of the Month

Porscha is a 13-year-old 8th Grader who is a straight-A student. Porscha lists Mrs. Sherri Ramseier as her favorite teacher and English/Writing as her preferred subject. Some of Porscha’s interests outside of school include hanging out with friends, reading, being at the lake, and spending time with family. Porscha names her mom as her role model and states, “My mom does everything she can for me, especially when times are tough. I want to be there for my future kids the same way my mom is for me.”
When asked to discuss an accomplishment that she is proud of, Porscha responded, “I am proud my older sister Payton made the Honor Roll. She worked really hard and pushed herself to accomplish that. I am also proud to maintain my 4.0 GPA.” A ‘Fun-Fact’ I discovered about Porscha is that she loves ‘Do-It-Yourselves’ and making things by hand. Porscha was asked to discuss her future plans and shared, “My future plan is to go to college and enter the criminal justice system. I want to help people when they are in bad situations.” Porscha had the following advice for her fellow students, “Think before you act, because good or bad it will come back to you later in life”.
Mr. Johnson had the following to say about Porscha after naming her Wolf of the Month: “Porscha is an incredibly intelligent and hard-working student. Her academic performance is impressive, as she maintains high A’s in each of her classes, and was named both Junior High Business Student of the Year and Junior High Personalized Reading Student of the Year at last Spring’s Academic Awards Night. Beyond all of her success in the classroom, I appreciate Porscha’s selfless nature. Especially in today’s world, what 13-year old girl thinks of the interests of others before even those of their own? I asked Porscha what her future aspirations are, and she responded she wants to go into a career where she can help others when they are in bad situations. I think this is very telling of the type of person Porscha is. Congratulations on being Wolf the Month, Porscha. You are doing a great job and have an incredibly bright future.
