Wolf of the Month-Callie Richards

CALLIE RICHARDS—WOLF OF THE MONTH STUDENT PROFILE

Callie is a 12-year-old 7th grader on the High Honor Roll and a straight-A student. When asked to name her favorite teacher, Callie responded, “I like all of them. It is fun to be in junior high and rotate classes and get all the teachers because they are all so different.” Callie named Business as her favorite class, stating, “I like the work plus my class is really well-behaved in there which makes it more productive.” When not in school, Callie said she enjoys babysitting, riding horses, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with family and friends. Callie looks up to her parents, Lisa and Duane, as her role models stating, “My parents do so much for me, I cannot think of any way I could ever repay them. I also look up to all of my Aunts, they are very supportive of me and I love them.”
When asked to discuss an accomplishment that she is proud of, Callie responded, “I am proud to earn straight A’s. It gives me confidence at school, on the court, and in life!” When asked to share a ‘Fun-Fact’ about herself, Callie stated, “me and two of my cousins, Kyndal and Trey, were all born within 72 hours of one another.” Callie was asked to discuss her aspirations and stated, “I want to attend a good college. I also want to eventually buy a car so I’m trying to save money by babysitting. I love kids and babies!” Callie’s advice to her fellow students is, “Focus on what is important to you. Never lose sight of who you truly are and what you hope to become.”
On naming Callie ‘Wolf of the Month’, Mr. Johnson states, “I have always been a huge fan of Callie. Not only is she a very high achieving student, but also just a really solid, friendly, and polite person. From my observations, you can always rely on Callie to give her best effort, whether it be in the classroom, basketball court, and anything and everything else she puts her mind to. You are doing a great job Callie and appreciate all the positive contributions you make to our school and community. You are smart, steady, friendly, and reliable. These traits paired with your great attitude and work ethic will continue to serve you well. Keep up the awesome work!”
