Wolf of the Month-Brandy Henrickson

Brandy is a 16-year-old Junior on the High Honor Roll and 4.0 student. Brandy names Mrs. Cindy Soehner (Math), Mrs. Sue Terrell (Business), and Mrs. Su Wright (English) as her favorite teachers. Some of Brandy’s hobbies and interests outside of school include reading, shooting sports, watching movies with family, and laughing with friends. When asked about her role model, Brandy responded “One of my role models is Mary Jackson, NASA’s first African-American female engineer. She fought society so she could do what she loved.”

When asked to discuss an accomplishment that she is proud of, Brandy responded, “I am proud to have won the Junior A-Class high all around national youth AIM shooting contest.” Brandy shared that a ‘Fun-Fact’ about herself is that, “I love to stain wood projects.” Brandy was asked to discuss her future and stated, “One of my goals is to get an academic or shooting sports scholarship for college.” Brandy’s advice to her fellow students is, “The going might get tough, but when you push and fight through, the reward and pride in yourself is so much sweeter.”

Mrs. Cindy Soehner nominated Brandy for Student of the Month and states, “Brandy is the epitome of academic excellence. She has a dynamite combination of intelligence, work ethic, and high standards. Her level of responsibility is amazing. She has a quiet personality but is always willing to help a classmate.”

Mr. Johnson had the following to say, “Brandy is one of our school’s highest performing students. Without exception, all of Brandy’s teachers commend her work ethic and academic performance. Brandy helps to set the academic bar incredibly high in our school. Outside of the classroom, Brandy is very active and makes countless contributions to our athletic, FBLA, and FFA chapters to name just a few examples. Great job Brandy and keep up the good work!” Submitted by Myles Johnson, Superintendent
